A STUDENT SPENDS HIS . TIME IN VARIOUS PURSUITS As seniors are about to graduate, they often look back at the high school days just passed and marvel at the swift- ness of the passing of time. Usually the time seems to have flown because every minute was filled with either diligent work or amusing entertainment. Having so much to do ma es the time move so swiftly that the student ·s scarcely aware of its passing. As freshmen the future seems li e something very dis ant and unimportant. During this period students are inclined to squander their time until they reach the level of upperclassmen and then the future becomes much more pressing. The time has either been wasted or spent wisely . B; commencement time the graduate has learned for himself whether he has made the best of this most precious com- modity. The staff of the 1961 Scroll would li e to take this oppor- tunity to show all the classes how time was spent during the school term 1960-1961. In the following pages we would like to show the students where the precious minutes of "the best years of our lives," have been spent. Instead of time passing quic ly and being wasted, it must be that this year was so full of interesting activities that the passage of time was scarcely noticed. - I ~ - ~ ' '• \ To every thing is ~ se~son, ~nd 8 time for every purpose under the he~ven.
