8 This capable cabinet guided the seniors through a great year. LEFT TO RIGHT: Harold Angel, Presi– dent; Carol Lippy, Treasurer; Shirly Manske, Secretary; Roger Gunderson, Vice -President; and Mr. Me– Auliffe , Advisor. CLASS of '56 One of the highlights of the year was the annual school carnival, held the last of October. A lot of work, headed by student-body Vice-President Don Smith, was donetomakethecarnival a great success, especially for the seniors. Greg Kuykendall and Carol Lippy, both seniors, were elected King and Queen of the carnival. The seniors did very well in the traditional food booth. The Senior Class was well represented in activities this year. Pat Hatfield, student-body President, contributed very much to the success of the school year. Judy Suhrstedt, a very busy senior. held the offices of student -body Secretary , President of Girls' League, Editor of the annual and Songleader. Gene Polly presidedasSergeant-of-Arms . SallyHook,Girls'League Vice-Pres– ident, reigned as Heart Hop Queen and was also a cheerleader. Linda Baker did a fine job as business manager of the annual and as cheerleader. The class of the school year 1956. was led by Harold Angel, Senior Class President and his cabinet. Roger Gunderson presided as Vice-President; Shirly Manske, Secretary and Carol Lippy Treasurer. The football team was well represented by the senior boys, with Gene Polly. Greg Kuyken– dall, Alan Hatfield, David Shrum and Don Smith, all participating in the sport. In the spring, the senior skip day, the rush and excitement of graduation, brought to close a very memorable and enjoyable four years for the class of "56".
