THE FRESHMAN OFFICERS ARE, Left ro Right: Miss Earnest, Advisor; Rodger Schlickeisen, Presidem; Lee Holrns, Secretary-Treasurer; Johnny Livingston, Vice-President; Don Courtney, Sergeant at Arms. CLASS of '59 With their first year of High School behind them, the Freshmen are looking forward to the activities and school life of next year. Elected to office were Rodger Schlickeisen, President; Johnny Livingston, Vice-President; Lee Holms, Secretary-Treasurer; and Don Courtney, Sergeant-at-Arms. Willy Starnes and Bemis McDanniels represented the Freshmen at the carnival. Vida Mae Polley, Carolyn Hatfield and Rodger Schlickeisen were chosen Heart Hop can– didates by popular vote, during Girls' League Week. Rodger received the honor of being select– ed the best dressed boy on Cotton and Cord Day. Charming Vida Mae Polley was selected cheerleader at the first of the year and has done a very fine job. Johnny Livingston, Rodger Schlickeisen, Dennis Kucera, and Larry Jones represented the class of "59" on the J. V. Basketball team. On the J. V. Football team were three freshmen: Larry Jones, Jim Roberts, and Dennis Kucera. 24
