The GLIDE HIGH LOG, the school paper, start– ed the year with a new name, new advisor, andnew staff, headed by editor Betty Lewis. Issued every three weeks, the Log kept tab on the coming and past events. In the annual midyear revising ofthe staff, Paul Anderson emerged as editor. With hopes of a printing press the Log promises a bright future. The many activities of the year kept the four pages of the foremat well filled with news, features, and humor. The Atoka's face lifting this year consisted of a fresh new approach to make-up. New lay-out patterns, new photography, and no art work sparked the Atoka to a flying start and flashing finish this year. The cop– ping of a second place rating in national competition in 1955 raised this year's standards to an even higher level.
