HONOR SOCIETY FRONT ROW: S. Hook, H. Taylor, A. Jennie, L. McCord, S. Manske, C.Dennis,C. Collison, Mrs. Churchill, Advisor; P. Hatfield, H. Angell, R. Shanafelt, and A. Smith. The officers of the Honor Society are: President, Allen Smith; Vice-President, Helen Taylor; Secretary, Anne Jennie; Treasurer, Lucinda McCord. To become a member of the Honor Society several things are considered. First, of course, is your grade average. You must have an average of not less than 1.8. Also considered are, your character , leadership, and service. The object of the Honor Society is to create enthusiasm for scholarship, stimulate the de– sire to render service, to promote worthy leadership, and encourage the development of character. When you have become a member of the Honor Society, you are given a National Honor Society emblem and a membership card. 40
