VARSITY BASKETBALL The Glide High basketball team had a good season this year, except for a few minor losses, which ruined our chances to go to state. We ended up with 2nd place in the Douglas "B" League standing. Coach Loren Thornton did a very fine job of coaching the basketball team this past year. In the last two years Coach Thornton has had a 1st and 2nd place team in the League. Next year we will have a very good team also, but it is going to be a little tougher than this year because we are going into a higher bracket, the Umpqua Valley League. We will play Myrtle Creek, Douglas, Sutherlin and theother A 2 schools in our League.
