CALENDAR SEPTEMBER We once more returned to South, a suming our roles a tudent . Finally we as ured our elve that the ummer wa over and ettled down to really tudy. Our new Student Council member worked faithfully, while Coach Miller whipped the football team into a working unit. OCTOBER Indeed, the member of our spirited football team performed admirably again t aU opponent . Thi month wa al o enlivened by a kating party which the Oriole taff pon ored. All in attendance enjoyed the kating and the mu ic. NOVEMBER Our newly organized election board in tructed the tudent in the various e ential of voting. The Yearbook taff pre ented an original ale promotion play, entitled "The Yearbook Yak." DECEMBER With prize being offered the memb r of each homeroom directed their arti tic abilitie and valuable time to the beautifying of the home– room door . We looked with eager anticipation to the Chri tma vacation and to the new year. JANUARY We encountered the new year with hope and vigor. Thi month marked the do e of the e– rne ter and the midpoint of graduation for the enior . Tho e who attended the "Sno-Ball" will remember the good time had by all and the now fall which marked the occa ion. FEBRUARY The new erne ter began a seniors were con- tantly reminded to be wary of ' enioriti ," which included the ymptom of lazine and the feeling of uperiority. The Red Cro Club a embled multifariou talent for the Talent Show, a Mr. Ritenour pon ored the Lab Club in the pre en– tation of a fiery di play of chemical reaction . MARCH enior began to make_more definite prepar– ation for the future. They waited eagerly a they applied to and waited for replie from college . Mea urement for cap and gown were taken, a the enior wondered from what ource finan– cial a i tance would come. APRIL Mi orthern directed her group of uperbJy dre ed young ladie in the pring fa hion how. Spon ored by Mr. Donner, the Red Cro Club led the tudent in a night of kating fun. MAY Mr . Youen in pired the Senior Cia in the pre entation of the Cia Play. Spani h tudent attended the gay fe tivitie of the annual Fie ta. The ational Honor Society inducted new mem– ber at it annual program, much to the delight of many happy parent . JUNE The month of June brought both profound joy and adne to the enior of South High. They experienced the joy of Cia Day the Senior Prom, graduation partie , and old friend hip . With enlightened admiration and re pect, the en– ior orrowfuJJy opened the door of outh High to face the world.
