IN MEMORIAM
WILLIAM C. KUTZ, JR.
The faculty and student body note with deep regret the
passing of Mr . William C . Kutz , Jr . who died in the Read–
ing Hospital on November 22 , 1961. Mr . Kutz, Jr . is the
son of Supervising Principal William C . Kutz, Sr .
After graduating from Albright College in 1960, he re–
turned to Wilson High School to teach social studies . Active
in many community and church activities, he participated
in Wilson's social functions as well and was a willing spon–
sor for many school clubs and activities.
His friendship and understanding will always remain in
the minds and hearts of those who knew him .
William Cullen Bryant, in THANATOPSIS,
tells us about living a life as follows:
As the long train
Of ages glides away, the sons of men--
The youth in life's fresh spring, and he who goes
In the full strength of years, matron and maid,
The speechless babe, and the grayheaded man-–
Shall one by one be gathered to thy side,
By those, who in their turn shall follow them .
So live, that when thy summons comes to join
The innumerable caravan, which moves
To that mysterious realm, where each shall take
His chamber in the silent halls of death,
Thou go not, like the quarry-slave at night,
Scourged to his dungeon, but, sustained and soothed
By an unfaltering trust , approach thy grave
Like one who wraps the drapery of his couch
About him, and lies down to pleasant dreams .
