ust a At 3:00 this morning, Mr. Dar– by took off his lab coat, put on his sweat suit, and went jog– ging. He does this every morning. In fact, Mr. Darby is an advocate of physical fitness. In addition to jogging, he is a vegetarian and maintains his own garden. Perhaps all of this seems like a lot of work for those of us of the t.v. dinner set, but Mr. Darby feels that his self-disci· . ._...... -~· pline pays off. He attributes his superior health to his well bat- ~~~ anced vegetarian meals and feels that this will lead to a longer life. Believe it or not, Mr. Darby can recall being ill only once in his life, and that was caused by being caught in a sudden snow storm without a coat. The advantages of vegetarian– ism? Well, meat is high in cho– lesterol and is easily contami– nated. By having his own vegetable and fruit gardens and not eating meat, Mr. Dar– by avoids these problems. So, if Mr. Darby outlives us all, we will know why.
