mr. erber recalls his first ''brush'' Pack it up, Picasso, because here comes Mr. Gerber, resident football coach turned oil painter. He had long been an admirer of art, and so ten years ago with paint brush in hand, he made his first marks on canvas. Since these first attempts, Mr. Gerber has been influ– enced by the work of George Durrie, a noted painter of winter scenery. Some of his favorite subjects are snow scenes, old farmhouses and barns. Last year we were fortunate enough to see some of Mr. Gerber's work on display during the Festival of the Arts. For those of us who missed them, perhaps some day we will be able to see them on display at the Metropoltian Museum of Art.
