CONSERVATION CLUB AU students endeavoring to become members of the Conservation Club wrote essays on "What Conservation Means to Me." Thirty students succeeded in be– coming full-fledged members. The club met once a month. All business and financial matters were decided upon at the meetings conducted by the president, Don Croftcheck. Committees were appointed to head various activities planned by the club. As a result of the heavy snows, wildlife experienced difficulty in finding food. Conservationists, under the direction of Mr. Vincent Coppolino and Mr. Ernest Hustek, conducted a game feeding program, spreading corn and hay throughout local wooded areas. Early in the spring, members enjoyed stocking Big Sandy Creek with trout. The climax of this year's activities was the annual picnic held at the Browns– ville Luzerne Park.
