Calloway, The 1960 gridiron season proved to be quite success– ful for the R edstone Baby Hawks. Under the direction of Mr. Vincent Coppolino and Mr. Norman Peretti, the junior chargers posted a 4-2 record in the win-loss col– umn. Don Defino, Alfred J ones, Gene Pavlikowski, Leonard K irby, and Dominic Bryan showed they could hit hard, tackle low, and streak down field. Not to be outdone, the seventh and eighth graders, the first string minority, played rugged ball. The Baby H awk E leven lost six starters including the quarterback from the' '59 season. Because of this, the determined squad practiced faithfully and fought vali– antly to win. Fortified with a zealous desire to win, the Black and White overcame the opponent.
