Under the supen•ision of Mrs. Hart and Mr. Peretti, the Omega Tri-Hi-Y and the Alpha Ht-Y strive to "Create, m.1int.1in, and extend throughout the home, school, and community, high st.tndards of Christian character." For the second consecutive year, offiCers were inaugurated in a joint inmllation ceremonr. ~!r. Charles Brown, Boys' S<:cretll)' of the Cniomown Y.M.C.A., presented the "World Sw·1ce" and "Local Ser"ice" pllques to the Red– stone Hi-Y. This was rhe firsr time in the htston· of all local chapters that a club rc-ceh·ed both awards simultaneously. C.tught up in the Chrisrmas spirit, the two organizations participated in the "H.mging of the Green{' at the Salvation Army Home. Baskets of food \'\'ere donated to needy flmilies in the immediate area. These organiZltions combined work with play. The i\farch of Dimes record hop :~dded sparkle to the orglniutions· social funCtions. Proceeds from this e'·ent were contributed to the Fayette County March of Dimes Fund. The Tri-Hi-Y made elaborate preplrations for the ~fother Jnd DJughter Banquet which pro"ed to be J festi,·e .1ff.tir. Memories of these s.uisfring .1nd fun· filled experiences lrnger. 117
