Library Club Anette DeNardo and Joanne Rohaley, ninth period Hbrary aides, compile daily circulation record~. 11 6 Student library aides played a major role in keeping the library running smoothly. Under the guidance of Mrs. Martha Barantovich, they were trained to repair, shelve, and check books and magazines and to keep the library neat, clean, and atlractive. To encourage students to read widely, the aides cleverly decorated the library bulletin board. Their displays introduced new books ready for circulation. Four student librarians representing the group at a meeting of the Southwestern Area Student Library Association at Monongahela High School in the fall, returned with knowledge of new library techniques and promotional ideas. The spring meet· ing, AP.ril 16, 1966, was held at Redstone. The li· brary aides proved to be expert hostesses. The student librarians recall their endeavors with a feeling of pride, for they realized the aims and purposes of this organization.
