Samuel Bill, selected forty-four skilled musicians for the Concert Band. These students practiced man} hours to perfect their renditions of cia ical semi-classical. and popular music. On December 21-22. the members. co-operating with the Chorus. provided musical interludes to "The Christmas Stoq ." This performance heightened the yuletide spirit in both students and Iac· ult}. Between acts.,of the senior play, the Concert Band's renditions captivated the audience. Ira Chrise. Larry \filler, Ken Harasty. Ron Sheba. and Ron Riffle represented Red•tone in the District Band Concert at Elizabeth-Forward High School in Febru· ar}. Fifteen talented musicians participat· ed in the County Band FCS"tival in Union· 1011 n on \larch 29. To give the annual Sprin~ Concert a new light-hearted sound. ~lr. Bill ~elected a series of marches including: "The Stars and Stripes Forever"; a novelty. "Wirli· gig"; a light classical collection featuring. "The Sound of Music" and the popular '·\1ancini \lelody". Seniors proudly marched to " Pomp and Circumstance:· the group's final per· Iormance under the title of Redstone High School Concert Band.
