At the helm of our ship for the past four years. Mr. Buda has bee:-1 untiring in his effort.; to make better citizens of us. He has done much to advance the good name of our school and town. We feel that we have been fortunate to have Mr. Buda as our leader. both in the direction of our school life and in the modeling of our characters. in this, our preparation for lire after l'(raduation. SHOCKLOS3 Principal Mr. Shockloss was appointed Principal of the High School in .the bE>~Cinning of our last semester as students of Swoyer– ville High School. He was well-liked as a teacher and now as Principal, he has the best wishes and cooperation of all con~rned. Mr. Shockloss is a graduate of Swoyervillo High School and received his B. S. in Phvsical Education at State Teachers College, East Stroudsburg, Pa. He also attended Duke Uni– versitv. Durham. N. C., and received his Maste·rs' Degree in Education here. After completing his collel're career. Mr. Shockloss accepted a position as teacher in the elementary grades in Swoyerville School District, which position he retained for seven vears. For the past eleven vears. he has been a teacher of Historv and Physical Education at Swoyerville High School. Now he has taken this position as Mr. Buda's assistant in the high school. We know that Mr. Shockloss will succeed in his duties of directing and supervising the activities in life at the hig-h school and we heartily congratulate him and wish to extend to him our sincere best wishes for success in the oorformance of his duties as Principal of Swoyerville High School.
