When the proprietor he itate , Annie points out that the e bird are not all hot up; "ju t one little hole in the head." It ju t o happens that Buffalo Bill's Wild We t how i in the proce s of moving into this hotel and in pite of the owner's objections, the show people are tacking up signs, making speeches, etc. Their hand orne and famou harpshooter Frank Butler. challenges any local per on to a hooting match. The irate proprietor, after seeing Annie demonstrate her ability with a gun, has her accept Frank' challenge. Annie puts on a great how and heat Frank. She i o good that Buffalo Bill per- uade her to join the how. She accept , mainly o he can he by Frank. for he has fallen in love with him. The how tour the country and Annie become more and more popular until he i the main attraction. Frank has fallen in love with her; but when he become too popular, he think she i tr ina to beat him, and he leaves to join Pawnee Bill' how. Meanwhile, Annie ha become friends with Chief itting Bull, and he adopts her into the Siou · tribe a hi daughter. Time pa es and Buffalo Bill' how tour Europe. They are graciou ly re– cei ed. but they are paid with medals and trophie in tead of money. Their bank account becomes o low that thev rf"turn to Jew York on a cattle boat. they enter the harbor they are met by a boat from Pawnee Bill, inviting them to a party in their honor. The accept, in the hope that they can talk Pawnee Bill into mer!!ing the two hows; and Annie hope that he and Frank will be able to do a little merging. The arrive at the part , Annie' che t covered with jeweled medal from her trip. She finally meet Frank, and they are off to a good start until the conver ation turn to who is the greate t hooter. Th y quarrel, and decide on a hooting match the next day to ee who can hoot better. ittinl!; Bull decide he would be better off losing the match, so he fixe the ight on Annie' p:un . he trie each gun the da of the match and cannot hit the target. Finai'Iy old Sitting Bull explain the ituation to her and he lets Frank win. He then a k her to marry him, and a the play end , they d ide to become partnerc; in marriage and to combine the two bows.
