To Mr . Ruth M. Crago, friend and coun elor, we dedicate thi fir t volume of the Area Echo. Mr . Crago received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from California State Teacher College and her Ma ter Degree from the Univer ity of We t Virginia. While at California he was a member of Philo Society and at We t Virginia she belonged to the Chre tomathean ociety and Kappa Delta Phi. Her teaching career began at Cumberland Townhip from 1916 to 1917. Then followed po ition at Monongahela Town hip from 1917 to 1921, at White A h Con olidated School and Eden Valley Con olidated School in orth Dakota from 1921 to 1923, and again at Cumberland Township from 1925 to 1927, at Monongahela Town hip from 1927 to 1932 and again from 1936 to 1948. She returned to Cumberland Town hip in 1948 and remained with u as librarian and guidance coun elor, and along with her library work spon ored the Library Service Club and the Probationary Library Club. 3 This Annual ts dedicated to MRS. RlTTH M. CRAGO Librarian and ervice have been many and varied. In addition to her regular chool ervice , Mr . Crago ponored the fir t 4-H Club in Monongahela Township and the ational Honorary Society al o in Monongahela Town hip. She became a director of the Flenniken Memorial Library at the time of it charter. Our local PTA gave her an honorary life member hip, the fir t in thi county. At one time he served a the Greene County repre entative of the Board of Director for California State Teacher College Alumni A ociation. To what extent her influence i being fdt or will be felt no one will ever know- o many have been influenced and guided by her. May one of her bigge t ati faction be knowing that he ha given her be t and that becau e of her, part of this world i a better place. o you, Mr .
