:Devils Are eataw/Ja Conference Champs Trip Jones scored 96 points in the four games. Devil fans rejoiced over the victory the boys claimed from WTS in the tournament semi-finals. We were hosts to the tournament and we won the championship! With victories over Pageland (78-55), WTS (86-79), and Fort Mill (49-41), the Red Devils boys became Catawba Con– ference C 1 ass A champions. Seniors Larry Runion, Bruce Is en berg , and Thomas Broome p 1 aye d their final games for the Devils. They were giv– en fine support by juniors Trip Jones, Ronald Par 1 e r, Henry Cowart, Tim Hammond, Randy Williams, and Dal– las Thomas. Less experienced mem– bers who also played were Glenn Barker, Eddie Bigham, and Larry Barwick. In the state playoffs Great Falls lost to Crescent 63-52. Eddie Bigham and Trip Jones stay alert as opponents attempt to move the ball toward the goal. Marsha Dawkins dribbles in for a lay-up. The Devilettes were eliminated in the playoffs by Fort Mill, 41-26. Senior Larry Runion bustles down toward the goal to catch a re– bound.
