Through practice sessions, many rehearsals, and good ma– terial, the cborus has produced music of an excellent caliber un– der the direction of Mr. Gilliam. Various performances during the year included the Christmas cantata, "The Holy Night" presented in the Baptist Church, a spring concert, and special selections at commencement. Although they are proud of the rating of "excellent" received in 1963 in the S. C. State High School Music Contest, the cho– rus is striving for an even higher score in the next contest. Arnold Brannen, Kenneth Pearsall, Martha Cauthen , and Carole Sweatt are a portion of the chorus singing in the Christmas cantata.
