Carol Ann Baker ;!iss Cataw/JaH 62 For the sixth consecutive year the annual s t a f f has sponsored a beauty contest for the purpose of selecting c 1ass beauties, a Miss Junior High, and Miss Catawban, the s c h o o 1 beauty . Each class elects six girls to be its represent– atives. Miss Junior High is chosen from the twelve seventh and eighth grade contestants. A class beauty is chosen for e a c h of the senior high school grades and one of these four g i r 1s is then crowned Miss Catawban. The selection of the girls by out-of-town judges is based on gene r a 1 appearance 1 stage personality, beauty 1 and poise .
