PRESIDENT CARL GLANDER VICE-PRESIDENT TERRY DEVINE SECRETARY JIM VENABLES TREASURER BARBARA HAUGAN TREASURER PAT KING Class of '63 Remembers • • • .. reliving the battles of the Civil War and discussing current events in American his- tory. Both phases of our history, the old and new, were recognized as important facets of the year's studies. English Ill students remember studying Poe, Bryant, and Sandburg in literature or trying to conquer those difficult theme assignments the night before they were due. Advanced Algebra class also held the ticket to some "forget-me-not" experiences. "What a conglomerate mess one can get just using x, y, and z" might have been the thought which went through more than one student's mind during the year. Perhaps some of the fondest memories were formed in the ever-popular chemistry lab where the students received a first-hand study of 36 "what the world is made of." Although test tubes were broken, and acid was spilled, the amateur scientists agreed that valuable informa- tion was gained. These significant memories were developed in the classrooms at Watertown High School. However, other events which took place out of the classrooms were also important sources for memories. Some of the events included: initia- tion of "Baby Tucks," Tuck Formal, exciting ball games, Ki-Yi Kapers, annual prom and banquet, the play, "Our Town," and the class-sponsored play. Yes, 1961-62 was a memory-filled year - a year which has created a prominent impression in the minds of the members of this class. Never- theless, the juniors are looking forward to next year when they will be the upperclassmen and the leaders at WHS.
