TOBE OU SEL Youth Against Discrimination, or YAD, as it was more cornmonly known, was a fairly neworganization to Franklin. It was started in 2000 by Ben Huber and SarahHowes to help combat discrimina– tion in the halls of Franklin. They hoped that through the education of the stu– dent body, discrimination would lessen. They feel that it has been effective be– cause it is the first organization of its type here atFranklinand ithas crossed bound– aries other clubs have not been able to cross in the past. During this past year, Youth Against Discrimination worked hard to raise money for and participate in the annual AIDS walk, and were working hard to become more active in the school and community. From Start to Fini h. Megan Spanjian, Shane Wallace, and Sarah Howe take time out of their busy chedules to participate in an AlDS walk. Walking For a Cure.
