Students were given three months of freedom away from a strict and often tiresome schedule. Many students chose to be a part of the local work force, using their summer income to finance car payments, in– surance, college savings, and extra spending money. Other students were able to travel, vacation, or just I hangoutwithfriends. When asked what there was to do around town in the summer Krystal Courture said, "I like to go shopping." But what happens when you can't drive? "Stayhome andwatch T.V.," assured Matthew Cook. Whatever students chose to do, summer just would not be complete without friends to share it. Between work, vacation, boredom, and friends, summer was bound to be a hit. I__ "I caught two 35-pound King Salmon in the Pa– cific Ocean." ~Rob Kneen Summer 9
