ARE You BEING SERVED?\ The volleyball team once again stepped up to the challenge and improved its game. In order to achieve this goal the girls set a grueling practice schedule even before school began. While their friends were enjoying lazy days in the sun these girls were meeting on the court three times a week during the summer to lift weights, run the mile, and go over plays. As the school year began they started practicing for two and a half hours a day learning new strategies. When asked about the plays for this past year, captain Lindsey Holmes said, "We used a lot of tipping, good defense, and blocking." This year also brought a few hardships for the team because they had no seniors. "We have really missed a lot of the leadership that having seniors provides," stated Anne Kopoul. However, captains Lindsey Holmes, Casi Bryant, and Anne Kopoul have N stepped up to fill the leadership positions on the team. EJ"' "Lindsey Holmes has also stepped forward as one ofour strongest play- ers this year," added Casi Bryant. The main goals for this year were to finish above five hundred and beat Centennial.
