Bill Stratford starts the match with a powerful serve. The tennis season opened early this year at Ogden High. Members of the team be– gan practicing with the advent of warmer weather. The ability to change from the forehand grip to the backhand grip and re– turn a serve accurately played an important part in each meet. Competition was strong as each member vied for a place in the State Tournament which was held in Logan. Tennis Melvin Marker gets set for a backhand return.
