Ogden High School 1961 Yearbook (Ogden, UT) - Full Access

Golf Shouts of "Fore" rang out across the green as spring tryouts for the golf team got underway at the El Monte Golf Course. Five regular members and one alternate were chosen from the many students interested in this challenging sport. They took part in city, region, and state matches as well as a state-wide tournament un– der the sponsorship of the professional golfers of Utah. Ski Left to Right: Mark Bollif, Jim Farrell, Bill Burbidge, Bill Christensen, David Glenn, and Doug Gaskill. As the snow began to fall, all the ski enthusiasts at Ogden High headed for ski resorts in the mountains. The ski team was chosen from those interested in competition. Individual members participated in meets in Wyoming, Idaho, and Utah. The biggest event of the year was the Knudsen Cup Meet at Brighton where ski teams from the local high schools were in rivalry for this cup.
