The Spanish, with their noon-day siestas and rollicking fiestas, proved to be an interesting sub– ject to members of this guild. As one of its first activities, the guild sponsored a dinner to which each member brought Spanish food. The success of this evening encouraged guild members to eat often at restaurants serving Spanish meals. Also during the year the guild had several guests in– cluding an exchange student speak to its mem– bership. These lectures enriched each student's understanding of our Spanish speaking neighbors and gave insight to their colorful ways of life.
