Supplementing the curriculum and serving to develop well -rounded individuals were the extra– curricular activities which included parties, as– semblies, contests, and dances. These events were sponsored and conducted under the supervision of faculty advisors and officers of student organiza– tions. The award presented to the best class as– sembly and other contests during the year pro– moted a more unified school spirit. Each class held its own parties and activities which provided an opportunity for students to become better ac– quainted. The dances, which were held once a month, also created a friendly atmosphere.
