Mr. Laine Raty Art, Ceramics Under the direction of a new instructor, the students enrolled in art gained an ability to interpret the beauty of life around them. They received training in the techniques of drawing, painting, ceramics, commercial arts, and the history of Art. Among the services of the department to the school were the mak– ing of posters, signs, and stage scenery. Art Art students recreate two modern paintings, Clambake and Stage Visitor, for the Living Masterpieces Assembly. A lump of clay becomes a thing of beauty as LeRoy Starn rounds, hollows, shapes, and finishes a vase in his cer– amics class .
