With the use of laboratories, actual specimens, and assigned problems, students enrolled in biology, botany, physiology, zoology, geology, chemistry, or physics, enlarged their knowledge about our changing world. Through these courses, an in– tense· interest was created among individuals striving for achievement in these general fields of science. These courses also helped to instill a desire in them to excel in the fields which they have studied. Mr. Schmidt explains the operation of the aircraft engine to Robert Neuteboom and Steve Hale during a demon– stration in aeronautics class. Physiology class affords Mr. Willie the opportunity to show Georgia Farrell and Vicky Vernieu the skeletal structure of the hand.
