Student Council ROW 1: Steven Ibey, Robert Cross, Mr. Somers, Catherine Button, Joan Anderson. ROW 2: Timothy Philbrick, David Bradshaw, Louis Paquet, Theresa Tucker, Sandra Doyle, Forrest Sanborn, Arthur Goodrich. ROW 3: Rhonda Farr, Mary Jane Nattoon, Cole Johnson, Charles Ladd, Caroline Anderson. The Student Council is one of the most important parts of the school. It is the government of the school. It is run by the students themselves with the help of our advisor, Mr. Somers. At our first meeting we elected officers. They are: President, Robert Cross; Vice-President, Catherine Button; Secretary, Joan Anderson; and Treasurer, Steven Ibey. The Student Council sponsored the Magazine Drive and the One-Act Plays. With the profits from these the Student Council buys sports equipment and other needed things around the school. The Student Council also participates in regional these are regional and state meetings. and state activities. Our school School Manager was Catherine Button, and Assistant Manager, Class Captains were as follows: Freshman, Kenneth Button; Gilman; Junior, Winston Chambers; and Senior, Linda Dudley. Sophomores were tied in the race to reach their quota and each $15. Brian Cushman and Mary Mattoon each sold over one hundred subscriptions. We hope next year's class can do as well.
