Oregon High School 1984 Yearbook (Oregon, WI) - Full Access

This yearbook is rumored to be overflowing with wit and wi dom. Therefore we know you are waiting for the slightest shade of humor to pop up out of nowhere and send you to the floor in fits of hysteria. All we can say is this: don't hold your breath. It deeply saddens us to admit that we of the yearbook staff have no sense of humor and that most of us possess the personality of a comatose amoeba. Our theme this year is Reflections. This is indeed a pratical theme because reflections are to be seen all around us. We reflect on our memories and, as our title implies, we see the irony and the backwardness of life. As high school students, we encounter great ironies every day. For example, do you remember taking your first English test, secure in the knowledge that you would receive at least a 95, only to have it returned bearing enough red marks to pave a path to China and boasting a 59 in bold black ink? Even for you who suffer such memories, there are also mirrors that reflect positive or comic images, and we hope to reveal more of these in the following pages.
