Yes, it may not have always sounded that way but that was what it was, coming from our a capella choir, girls' glee club and other vocal groups as they practiced for all the fine performances which they gave this year. The choir elected Dan Schnorr, president; Mike Speckhard, vice-president; and Jane Gast, secretary to take care of their complaints and problems. The girls' glee club elected Shirley Niemuth and Ruth Tonn as their officers. The choir and girls' glee club gave an es– pecially appropriate sacred concert at Thanks– giving time. In February the choir put on a fine production of the opera "Down in the Valley." Everyone taking part enjoyed it con- siderably and it rated many fine comments. Traveling to Kimberly to give a concert for the Kimberly high school was a novel experience and lots of fun for the choir. Solo and ensemble time rolled around and Clintonville high had a very good representa– tion of solos and ensembles. The students traveled to Kimberly, where they enjoyed com– peting with other schools in the conference. At tournament time, a few weeks later, the buses were filled with excited vocal students, who couldn't wait to show off their musical talents at New London. They did, and gave Clintonville high school a chance to be proud of them, thus winding up a wonderful year full of hard work, fun, and the best of all success.!! Fifty-nmc
