DON SLATE- HALFBACK 5' 8" 148 lbs. Our senior Player of the Yeo r, Don led the team in scoring over the second half of the season . It was Don who scored o 51 yard run against East Fairmont. Don was on honorable mention choice on the All-Big Ten Team. Roy c lased out a fine varsity care e r as a RAY SLOAN- TACKLE 6' 1" 188 lbs. three year starter for the Polar Bears in the East Fairmont game, which was one of his finest . Roy has always been a bulwark o..-, de– fense . He was named to the A I I - B i g Ten Teom and he received honorable mention on the All-State Team. Big Jim took up right JIM TERRY-TACKLE 6' 0" 185 lbs where Big Charlie left off by dropping enemy boll carriers for big losses. Jim helped to keep the team's mortJie at a high point with his good-natured dispo– sition.
