HIGHLIGHTS Fa irmont West 0 Buckhannon 41 The Closs AAA State Champions spoiled the Polar Bears Homecoming by the score of 41 -0 . All-State fullback Dove Oldaker led the Sues to their sixth straight win . Fairmont West 12 Elkins 7 Ron Coldwell scored two touchdowns and Don Slate set up the scores with broken field sprints to record the Bears fifth win of the season. Big Jim Terry received a painful in– jury but gamely finished the game to bol– ster the Bears defense. Fairmont West 7 East Fairmont 13 Don Slate unleashed a 51 yard scoring jaunt against the Bees but he received little support as the Beo rs fe II to the Bees for the second time since 1949.
