ixon, pmncy, D(:ming, urricr THE CLASS of 1946 THE CLA OF 19 16 held it fir t meeting early in the autumn term and elected the fol– lowing officer. Bill urrier "'as elected pre ident; Bill ixon accepted the pot of vice– pre ident and Le Deming took on the dutie of ecretary-trea urer. Art pinney wa the new boy elected to ervewith the other officer a a member of the executive committee. One of the main acti n of the clas wa the voting of an appropriation for a trophy ca e a the cla gift. Placed in Knox Hall, it will accommodate cup and other award chiefly athletic, won by cadets. Thecla owe a debt of gratitude to Bill ixon, '' ho managed the bulk f the hea\ y work connected with the ommencement Hop. The cla al o feel that Lieutenant Jay de erve pecial thank for hi untiring and ucce ful effort in producing a memorable program for cia night. This Cla of 19 6 i the large tin the la t decade, perhap in the entire hi tory of the cho 1. There wa little interference during the pa t year with it progrc , in contra t to enior cla e of the previou few year , ' ho faced draft call enli tment , and exam– ination for multiple-choice a ignment in the armed force . The pre ent group did, however find acceptan e at college difficult to obtain, con idering the priority awarded the returning veteran . Thi 1946 bunch ha been in attendance during the period of the greate t enrollment in the hi tory of the chool, 1942- 6.
