They boa t the superb record of fifteen win and no defeat . Their bat were mighty and fielding excellent. Outstanding members of the team were O'Donnell, who e aggre ive pirit kept the infield peppy and on it toe ; outfielder T-1 McCann, who led the team in batting with an average of .453, and pitcher Moo e Me ormack, who won eight game , among them a no-hitter again t 0 wego. Mo t of the game were hopeles ly one- ided, but a few were hard-fought in which Manliu had to go all-out to win. Typical of the e was the one against N.Y.M.A. Mendel on, their pitcher, held the adet to merely two hit , while they collected three off Me ormack. However, the Red and Black ended up on the Jong end of a 2-0 core, playing errorle s ball and making two breath– taking double play . Great prai e goes to oach hearer and apt. hankweiler, who e continuou pirit and drive were in trumental in making this the greate t Manliu baseball team in year .
