The quad wa not so large a Ia t year' , but turned out to be the fine t track team Manliu ha had for many year . Again thi ea on, becau e of unfavorable weather, out of many meet cheduled, only three could be run off. On May 7 the team ea tly defeated the orth yracu e track men by a ore of 51 to 41. The econd meet wa on May 23. Here we overtook Fayettevtlle by 47-30. Out tanding per– former of the meet were Frank Harder, who ran the 0 in 2 :09.5, which eta new record for the track, and Art pinney, who took the 200-y:ud dash, the hot put, and econd place in the 100-yard da h. He wa al o le.1d-off man m the 880 relay, made up of himself, King, DeLong, and Harder. In thi e'ent Manliu · set a new track record of L: 3.5. In the Ia t meet of the year entral High nipped our track men by three point , 9- 16. The Ia t event pel led the difference bctw een victory and defeat. peoal mention hould be given Marty ole, who again attained the record for the di us throw, 136 feet.
