It pro– vided the battalion with orne very fine entertainment, including two record hop , a variety show, and the big event on it program, the Cabaret. The Cabaret wa held on April 27 amid the soft lights of Knox Hall auditorium. The cadet and their guest wove through the table to the dance floor, to way to the mellow trains of Bob Mil– lington and hi band. The entertainment consi ted of three act the fir t pre enting uch tar per– former a Tom Thayer, the mad poet; "Or on" Donovan, "General" Walt Keating, and the Great wami, Matt Ore kovic. The econd act wa an old-time minstrel how, with Ore kovic, amp on, O'Donnell, Lester, Power , and Kearn , and Joe Ferreira a interlocutor. The rand climax a the Ballet Mou e, high– lighted by the ballerina, that picture of delicacy and grace, Art pinney. Joe Ferreira acted as rna ter of ceremonie . The club enjoyed every minute of the year, and I think the battalion enjoyed the entertainment. The Var ity Club, founded two year ago, ha and will continue to keep up it excellent record. We wi h to thank the three ponsor of our organization, Captain hankwealer, hearer, and amp on, for their a i tance and guidance. Our affair involved elaborate arrangement , planning and direction, v. hich v. ere handled expertly by the e competent men. We a! o wi h to thank Lieu– tenant Jay for hi a i tance and direction of the Cabaret. In the fall the club elected the following officer : Pre ident, Dick Kallet; Vi e-Pre ident, Bill Nixon ; ecretary, Herb Roth; Trea urer, Art Humphrey . Other member of the club are: Herbert E.
