116 Seniors

As the days, hours and minutes of our last year starts closing in on us, it finally comes to our mind that we must

move on for the next generation to take our place. But as we push through the golden gates, we imagine and skim

back to recollect all the memories within time span that we can reach. We will cherish every single second we shared

together.

With every step we take not forgetting the past, always remembering

a//

the friends, treasured times and

memories. Holding close to our hearts the keep sakes of our grand alma mater. Wai'anae High School.

As Freshmen our steps weren't as strong but we showed our spirited enthusiasum by going out and accomplishing

many goals set before us.

During that year we unanimously won many goals set before us. Enjoying each others company as we rolled

around Roller World I for our class day.

acknowledged

ourselves as Sophomores. Not as loud as we wanted

to be during homecoming, but still shining bright in class spirit, we spent another year at Roller World.

Falling behind because of the UPW strike, but still pushing forward, our Junior year was one to remember. We

finished our float in time for the homecoming, even when we weren't allowed to have our homecoming game at our

home field.

We didn't stop there, we organized to have a Junior pep rally with class day included because we weren't allowed

to go off campus because we didn't have the required hours in school. Highlighting our Junior year. was our prom

held on May

at the Hilton Hawaiian. Proudly reinng was our king and qu en (M1cheal Beazley and Janette

Progressing through the years with many class events displayed with pride and ambition. the seniors proved to be

a superior opposition to their peers by taking first place in homecoming competition. and year round activities.

We spent an elegant evening together for all to remember on May

at the Americana. for our Ball

&

Banquet, which will be locked away in our hearts and minds, until we meet again to remmisce old acquaintences.

And definitely, the event all students wait for as their fourth year in high school starts ticking around that clock of

time, "Commencement. " June 5,

1981 .

The ceremony each student longs for. the feeling of their diploma in their

hand, and the life ahead of them. The feeling, "I made it," I am a graduated senior from Wai 'anae 's class of
