boy and girls - not quite free of their
cocoons - first face o world of hope de–
ferred - and sharp tongued creatures - and
cruel parents. Aworld of floods of tears
and me I t i ng moods! A world of ever
tightening chains which bind and pain.

Seventeen1 Paradox I Boy now, man
then; girl now, woman then; hope now,
despair then; joy now, gloom then. These
ends of II fe just tug and tow till some
bright day no more. And flight begins.
Yes - to this age of opposites which
simply never seem to meet we say adieu -
for soon - too soon away into the past it
flees - never once again to sense the ec–
stacy of that first stretch of wings and
flight.
Good-bye Seventeen - Amen1
