A Final Word
.
Life is the theme of this yearbook. And being
so, we have tried to portray Iife at Yonkers High
School as it is. After all, life is the one thing we
all have in common. Ideas may differ, attitudes
may differ, moods may differ, but we all live on
from day to day, week to week.
Many of you wil l probably be disturbed with
what you have or haven't seen in this publica–
tion. But we tried to present the year 1969-70 as
objectively as was physically or emotionally
possible.
Of course, we all recall the old cliche, "You
can please some of the people some of the
time, but you can't please all of the people all
of the time." This year, the editors of
Black–
board weren't trying to please anyone.

. There
~re
a few crazy people that I would
l1ke to g1ve special recognition to. First of all,
~here
is Janet
~hin,
who put in long hours typ–
Ing and re-typmg, and then re-typing the re–
typing, and who was always around when she
~as
needed. Next, Terri Branchek, who provided
mvaluable assistance in the production of this
yearbook, and whose never-failing sense of
"humor" bouyed us up in times of cheer.
Stewart Glick is to be commended (and exoner–
ated) for his efforts above and beyond the call
of duty. And aspecial word of thanks to Bohdan
Shmorhay for turning out much of that which
Mr. DiBartolo has "disavowed any knowledge
of," including the class history, the dedicat1on,
and write-up for
Broadcaster.
