Dedication
Now that the Senior Class of
1960 is completing its final
year of school life, we would
like to look back and pay trib–
ute to two teachers who started
us and hundreds of other stu–
dents through school. We are
dedicating this Annual to Mrs.
Hawk and Mrs. Pieren. These two
dedicated teachers have combined
over a half century of service
to the people of this area. They
have labored at low pay and

teaching for thirty-six years;

is a member of the Christian
Church, NEA, OEA, ECOTA, and the
Carroll County Teachers Associa–
tion. She has one daughter and
five grandsons.
Mrs. Pieren was born in
Minerva, Ohio. She attended
Kent State University. She has
taught here for thirty-two years.
She is a member of the Christian
Church, Eastern Stars, Delta
Gamma Society, OEA, NEA, ECOTA,

under difficult conditions with–
out complaint or thought of
quitting. There is no "Distin–
guished Service Awards" given to
teachers as is given to men in
government, but these two teach–
ers have won a much higher award
in the hearts of their students.
To you, Mrs. Hawk and Mrs. Pieren
we can only say, ''May God grant
your every wish."
