of school- Standing in front of a class for your first debate–

Going up against Provo's number one team - Feeling the sat–

isfaction of proving yourself right and the utter frustration

of knowing you out-debated them - "It's the judges, I tell ya,

they're as biased as the day is long!" The triumphant joy of

knowing you really deserved it by taking the win from an opposing

judge- Harrowing experiences of car accidents because the

district was "trying to conserve fuel" -Burning the midnight

oil trying to patch up the last loopholes in your negative

case- "Resolved: The government should provide a guaranteed

minimum annual income for each family unit."- Never realizing

how many people can be so incoherent- Spending Saturdays at big

meets like the Governor's Cup and Weber Invitational -A three-day

debate at Cedar City- Walking yourself to death trying

to find the right classroom in an unfamiliar nightmare- Falling

into an exhausted sleep, vowing, "We'll take it next time!"
