With Coach Bender as head man, this year's
baseball team worked at strengthening their
weak points and made small adjustments to
help them become a better balanced and all
around better team. Being the defending
champions made the going rougher as every
opponent was out to upset the Vikings. But
with many players returning from last year's
team, experienced members helped in gaining
victory after victory. With the goals set by the
playing and with the sweating and time
involved in practices, the baseball team strove
to repeat as State Champions and gain
recognition as the number one team
in the State of Utah.
