and Leilani Soroka, the finalists in the
Miss Sacred Heart Contest held annually
at the school. Among the qualifications
for Miss Sacred Heart arc a pleasing per–
sonality, excellent nursing care, speaking
ability and ability to relate well with
patients, personnel and classmates. Our
winner and hl'r runncrsup daily exem–
plify these ideals for us and many more.
Parents of the contestants arc invited as
guests for the crowning ceremony.

tions Leilani," whispers Elizabeth Tergo, Miss Sacred
Heart of 1963, as she places a crown of yellow roses
on Leilani's head. She will compete for the title, "Miss
S..A.P.," Area #2 at the annual convention in
Pottsville.
"A leader in her field"
and speaker for the occasion,
Miss Lutic Leavell, a well known lecturer and author
congratulates Leilani Soroka. She spoke on "The
urse's Role in the Modern World."

stressed that professional nurses must be pilots not
voyagers, leaders not followers.
