Upon the request of the Graduating Class of
1964,
I have been honored
with the ta k of dedicating the Y arbook of
1964
to two well known and
loved Preceptors and Admini trators of the acred Heart Hospital of
fursing.
·Over the period of the last 25 years, we ha,·e ob etTeu their loyalty and
service in the e\·olution and scientific growth of our ,\Jma :\[ater, which
under the providential founding by our beloved :\[onsignor :\1as on, the dis–
ciplinary directives of Flor nee
Tightin~ale
and the con ecratcd service of
Mother Seton, has b come one of
merica's out tanding and highest
accredited chools. Not only were they in pired
by
the hig-hest
ideolo~ies
fonnulated for the thical care of suffering humanity, but they were con–
stantly motivated by the spiritual ideals of Jesus Christ and Mother Church.
They believed that their untiring service and education of professional
nurses was trulv a manifestation of their love for Our Redeemer Who died
that we might Jive!
Therefore, in the name of the BOARD OF DIRECTORS whose appre–
ciation and gratitude impel me to inscribe these memorable words upon the
imperishable pages of hi tory, I joyfully dedicate the
