This building is our State Capitol. It is located in the center of
the constantly growing, busy, and bustling city of Honolulu. It
houses the Governor, Lt. Governor, and legislators. All legisla–
tors convene here to pass, fail, or amend Jaws. So many impor–
tant decisions which affect our lives are made by these elected
officials.
The members of the many different organizations, clubs, and
societies of Wai'anae High work together and are like a close–
knit family. Like our district representatives, our different orga–
nizations have elected officers. Our district representatives meet
in the State Capitol to present and discuss issues. So too, the
club officers of Wai'anae High speak and represent the club
members in the monthly Student Union meetings.
