Spirit And Pride
This year the Wai'anae High School Band has actively partici–
pated in many activities such as parades and concerts. We
recognize and give credit to the marching band whose members
put together a dynamite show. Though the complete perfor–
mance lasted only a few minutes, many nights were spent devel–
oping, practicing, and then perfecting the finished product. They
participated in the following events, Kamehameha Festival of
Bands, Mililani Festival of Bands OIA Festival of Bands, and the
Meadow Gold Festival of Bands. They also marched in the Aloha
Week Parade, Wai'anae Homecoming Parade, Veterans Day
Parade, and Wai'anae Christmas Parade.
The Concert Band and Symphonic Band consists of students
with exceptional musical talents. The students in these bands
work on music selected for their annual Christmas Concert,
Spring Concert, and Pop Concerts. The Stage Band consists of
students who excel/ in their playing abilities and musical studies.
In preparation for upcoming concerts, they practice after school
and develop the skill of feeling, as well as playing the music.
